City have completed the loan signing of Shola Ameobi from Newcastle United. Pulis had a strong interest in the striker and is happy that the deal is done. He came to england to join the magpies in 1995 when he was thirteen. Five years later he made his debut at Chelsea.
There he was spotted and got into Englands under 21 squad that season making an immediate success scoring two goals in five games. Since this he has made over 100 appearances with Newcastle.
This season though, first team opportunities did not arise often with Shola playing just two games under Kevin Keegan. He is now hoping he can get his career back on track at Stoke.

good signing by pulis, we need goals, but do wonder if pulis has the bottle to win games.
it appears to me having watched time and time again the guy bottling games we need to win and sending a team out trying not to lose, we should attack teams of the likes of burnley and blackpool at home but he seems happy not to lose these games hoping other sides don't win, i say throw caution to the wind and go for it, only the brave will go up, and at the moment pulis is like a lamb, saw it last season against qpr when we needed a win and he sent a team out not to concede, think we may be top despite of the manager and not because of him. prove me wrong tony
